So gorgeous. And how can I reconcile my sunset series - all done from this same spot, was viewed ... well, as 'not so much' by the jurors for the South Shore Art Center Gallery Artist program. I guess I have so, so much to learn. The good news is that even if people think sunsets and sunrises are 'trite', I don't think so, and I get to see them every day.Kelley Carey MacDonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667693715096070393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8511559782790680632.post-34968075252139058632009-06-15T12:13:00.000-07:002009-06-15T12:24:25.167-07:00So Good To Be HomeOK, I tried to delete this photo and add a clearer one, and Blogger wouldn't let me. So... you get the gist. That's one of those things they say here.. "You get the gist..." Another one of my favorites is "Are you SERIOUS or are you DELERIOUS?" Nowhere else, I think. Place your bet on 'delerious' most of the time, too....

I spent the weekend in Scituate and Marshfield, two places I really love, but it was so wonderful to be home, because there are few places on the South Shore of Boston that you get sunsets like here in RI. And I'm a sunset nut. Seriously. And deleriously. ;)Kelley Carey MacDonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667693715096070393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8511559782790680632.post-43375706241567663942009-05-07T13:34:00.001-07:002009-06-15T12:25:29.388-07:00Everywhere I LookEverywhere, it seems, there's a Mr. Potato Head. Do you remember them from your childhood? I loved mine - and didn't ever want my Mom to throw the potato away no matter how soft it got. This lovely lady (I'm just assuming, because of the pink sneakers - but what did Sister Eugenia Margaret say about assuming???) is standing guard outside a Dunkin Donuts on my way to the studio. I have also seem them at the bank, the supermarket... mmmm... maybe other places, too. They were invented here in Rhode Island, and thus is part of our charm....Kelley Carey MacDonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667693715096070393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8511559782790680632.post-75354612693217620892009-01-25T17:43:00.001-08:002009-01-25T17:45:01.077-08:00This was the view out my front door two nights ago, the sun setting over Aquidneck Island.Kelley Carey MacDonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667693715096070393noreply@blogger.com0
